Why to Republicans point to the bad judgement of Democrats to justify their own bad judgement?
Following the Constitutional Limits of Executive Power hearing, I've noticed a common theme from Republicans: the Democrats did it, so it's okay if Bush did it. Bad leadership is bad leadership, regardless of party. Don't justify your wrong doings by pointing out to the same wrong doings of others -- it's kind of childish.

Another common theme from the Republicans seems to be that those calling for impeachment are doing so for partisan reasons.

Remember during the whole Clinton thing how the Republicans kept saying "it's not about the sex it's the lying"...well we have a whole lotta lying here and it was about actual job function not sex life...and yet somehow to question Bush is "partisan politics". This has got to be the biggest WTF EVER!

Someone could probably write a book on the sheer volume of illegal things that Bush & Co. have done. While I was no fan of Clinton, Bush makes him look a whole lot better than he actually was.

Wait until we have a Democratic president being hounded by Republicans again - everyone will be back to the positions they held in 1996 with Democrats calling Republicans partisan and arguing that their bad policies as no worse than Bush II.

As if I could forget why I think we should elect 435 new representatives, 33 new senators, and one new president in 2008. Nothing short of that will be very effective.

I'm a big fan of reducing incumbents. The only way to get government to change is to let them know that we will fire them if they don't do their job to our satisfaction. I don't like our reps getting too comfortable - that increases the likelihood of corruption.
